Announcing the Three's a Charm Jacket Sewalong!
We are very excited to announce that to celebrate our 35th anniversary, we will be hosting our very first sew along on the Stonemountain blog!
Last summer, we loved engaging local sewists in our Given a Chance Dress promotion. It was a lot of fun to see everyone's versions of the same pattern (by Decades of Style), and we were thrilled by the turnout at the promotion's wrap up party.
So when Decades Everyday—a microline of quick and easy patterns by Decades of Style—released their next pattern, the Three's a Charm Jacket, we immediately started brainstorming how we could get our sewing community involved again.
But our Stonemountain family of sewers, crafters, and quilters is global, not just local, and we wanted to give everyone a chance to join in on the fun! And this time, we'll really all be sewing together with a sew along where we show you how to create this cute jacket step by step. What better way to celebrate Stonemountain's 35th year and almost 100 years of the Steinberg family fabric business?!
Here's our schedule of posts for this sewalong. We'll be updating these with links as they're posted.
March 14 - Planning and Inspiration
March 16 - Cutting and Marking
March 18 - Facings and Darts
March 21 - Attaching the Facing and Topstitching
March 23 - Sleeves
March 25 - Finishing
March 28 - End Result + Your Makes!
If you're sewing along with us (and we hope you are!), please take a picture of your finished product! We love to see how everyone interprets the pattern and makes it their own.
Check back in with us on Monday, when we'll be talking about fabric choices and jacket inspiration. In the meantime, pick up the pattern in store or on our website, and start dreaming up your very own Three's a Charm!
