Me Made May - Week 3 Roundup

We're already into week 4, but before it's over here is a roundup of customer makes from week 3 of Me Made May 2016. What a month it's been! We have LOVED seeing how our customers use our fabrics to create their own personal style and wardrobes.

@janinebajus in her Dress No. 2 top from 100 Acts of Sewing (left) and @grace_makes in a Me Made outfit including our fabrics (right)!

@kayun.cheng showed off a top she made in one of our classes (left) and @rudehouse illustrated print blocking two ikats of our favorite ikats (right).

@merrylynne cuddled up with her cat in another wonderful ikat top (left) and @clemmypo1 used Blueberry Park to create an adorable outfit for her daughter (right).

Cultivating a Personal Style

We love Me Made May so much because it brings sewists together on social media. It's so inspiring to watch each other develop in our sewing skills, but also develop in our personal style. After all, we make clothing for ourselves because we want what we wear to be different than what we can buy off the rack. Sewing for ourselves means that we don't have to fit into specific style tribes created by the fast fashion industry. We'll take our fashion slow and do it our way!

We love @vanessamakes casual, cool style!

@ktrinka_makes has been busy sewing up some lovely pieces out of our ikats and textured, woven cottons.

We are loving these cozy, knit makes by @jenndumon. She used our Hemp/Organic Cotton Yarn-Dyed Jersey and our French Terry.
